Summary

The NVQ Level 6 Diploma in Construction Site Management- Building & Civil Engineering (Construction) is the official vocational qualification suitable for site managers who have experience in the construction industry. Gaining this qualification will provide you with the opportunity to demonstrate your skills, knowledge, and competence in a convenient way as you are not required to attend any classes or workshops instead an experienced assessor will be allocated to you and visit you on your site.

Entry

This is a qualification that is specifically intended for existing site managers working in the construction industry. It is essential to hold previous management experience to achieve this qualification. All candidates will need to complete an initial assessment before enrolment in which they must demonstrate the ability to meet the requirements of the qualification.

Assessment

In order to achieve this qualification all candidates will be assessed via OSAT (On-Site Assessment and Training) which will take place at our learners’ workplaces. This is an advantage as candidates will not be required to attend any classes, workshops or take time off work. The number of site visits made by the assessor will depend on the experience, interest, and availability of the candidates.

The candidates will be allocated an expert assessor who will support them during the course and carry out all the necessary assessment procedures required to successfully gain the qualification. The complete process will consist of a range of communication methods and evidence collection processes tailored around the individual learner needs. Our assessors will support candidates in the process of gathering all the required evidence to assemble the essential portfolio of evidence.

Duration

The duration of the course will heavily depend on the candidates’ interest, motivation, and availability. For NVQ Level 6 the minimum length of the assessments from the candidate’s registration to the actual achievement of the NVQ is within 3-24 months.

Certification

Upon successfully completion of the course, you will be awarded a Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Construction Site Management – Building & Civil Engineering (Construction). A valid CITB Health and Safety Test, achieved within the last two years, is required to obtain your CSCS Card.

NVQ Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice (Construction) is designed for those involved in the practical application as well as management of health and safety. Those undertaking this qualification should have an autonomous role in their organisation for managing health and safety policy and practice, the learner should report directly to or be part of senior management team. This qualification is suitable for learners from a range of sectors such as Energy, Oil and Gas, Corporate Business, and Construction.

For NVQ Level 6, the minimum length of the assessments from the candidate’s registration to the actual achievement of the NVQ is within 1-24 months. The average completion time for this course is between 7-12 months.
